Update on lead poisoning: My fibromyalgia is gone!
It turns out that chelation —the treatment for heavy metal toxicity—is really draining. Stripping bad and good metals out of your body every other week wore me down pretty a good deal. Even after I finished the treatment, it took a few months to rebound to better energy levels. Being on the other side of it is wild, particularly as I no longer have fibromyalgia or Raynaud's. My favorite and least favorite 14er so far

This summer, I summited my 15th Colorado 14er (16th 14er overall, including California’s White Mountain Peak, which is extremely under-rated and looks like a painting ). With 58 14ers in Colorado, that means I’m a fourth of the way done—although a bunch of them are possibly forever beyond my skillset. Heavy metal is in my veins. But like really
Most of my 13 autoimmune (or autoimmune-adjacent) diseases were diagnosed by my current doctor—a brilliant and open-minded man who is unfortunately not covered by my insurance. He has continued to pursue answers until my body works somewhat normally, in key ways.
